It's cool the number of things I get to work on everyday both at work and at home. These are a few of the projects I've done or am working on.

Unix/Linux

I do a lot of my work in Linux (and more recently Mac OS X). I've also played with Solaris some and have a basic love/hate relationship with it.

Nagios

Nagios is a framework for monitoring all sorts of network equipment. It provides tools for checking individual bits of hardware or services being provided by each system. It will handle notifications and trend graphing of the same equipment. I use it in my everyday work and offer some of my experiences and tips on using it here.

LDAP

Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) is a means of storing information in a hierarchical structure thats designed primarily for read activity. I use this in my work and have been involved with it for several years now so I hope to share some of my thoughts and notes on the matter here.

PHP

PHP: Hypertext Processor (PHP) is one of my favorite languages to develop in at the moment. Here you will find a number of articles and discussions I have put together relating to PHP specifically.

Python

I've just started dabbling with Python recently. It seems like an ideal language for rapid development of fairly robust applications. Since I'm most familiar with PHP for web development (which allows me to create some very powerful server-based DB applications), I'll probably continue to use that for the majority of my development work. However, from time to time, a standalone desktop application that is fully cross-platform is the answer I need. Python looks like a great language to fulfill this need. We'll see...

Samba

Some documentation & notes from my experiences with Samba administration.

MySQL

Some interesting (I hope) notes and documents relating to MySQL, it's use and administration.

Networking

As a professional Systems Administrator, I deal a lot with networks. So, it only makes sense that networking is included here. Some of the projects:

Networking Hardware

General Hardware

Some information about some of the various hardware I run into from time to time. Notably:
